New Vacheron Constantin 1972 - More Elegance and Precision

In 2007 Vacheron Constantin has developed new versions of its iconic 1972 model, having reinterpreted the original model in the most creative and unusual way.

The emblematic feminine timepieces convey resolutely contemporary asymmetrical rectangular design, sporting new shape, new dials, new unique gem-set motifs, and even new wristbands. The Vacheron Constantin model was honored at the time to receive the 'Diplome du Prestige de la France'. This was the first time this high-prestige diploma was granted to a watch manufacturer.

The new models to join Vacheron Constantin 1972 collection perfectly reflect the renowned Manufacture's concern for refinement. The elegant lady's timepieces are crafted in 18K white or pink gold. They feature a smaller and exquisitely cambered case characterized by dimensions better matching gentle female wrists.

One of the variations of the new 1972 is based upon two superimposed parts. The first part serves as a 'mirror' polished underplate, while the second part sports 12 and 6 o'clock cut-outs that reveal two Roman numerals creating an original stencil effect.

Another variation of the newly created 1972 model displays the fascinating game of swirling diamond patterns due to unforeseen gem-set motifs that are wave-shaped and composed of 152 brilliant-cut diamonds. The wave seems to be rolling over the case and splashing on to the watch's dial.

The new Vacheron Constantin 1972 has the18K white gold or pink gold case adorned with 232 brilliant-cut diamonds. Its curved shape allows the watch to perfectly hug its lady-owner's wrist. The timepiece is accompanied with a gold bracelet characterized by a radiantly thin profile and articulated asymmetrical links. The bracelet is provided with an invisible clasp.

The Haute Joaillerie version of the Vacheron Constantin 1972 touches imagination with dazzling fire paying tribute to feminine beauty. The case of the watch is adorned with 106 baguette-cut diamonds, while the dial is embellished with 62 baguette-cut diamonds. The crown of the watch sports a rose-cut diamond.

The heart of the timepieces is a reliable quartz movement, Calibre 1202. The watches are 30-meter water-resistant.
