Exclusive Vacheron Constantin Watch for Russian Collectors

Vacheron Constantin presented its Malte Quantieme Perpetuel Retrogradant watch to a group of Russian collectors. The timepiece was developed in a limited edition of just five pieces crafted in 5N 18K pink gold exclusively for the brand's Moscow boutique.

The new Vacheron Constantin watch model has incorporated two exclusive features. Its officer back reveals on the outside an engraving of the Russian coat-of-arms with its two-headed eagle. The watch's owner may lift the back that is really compact measuring 11 1/2 lignes and being 5.05 mm thick. The lift of the back gives a fine opportunity to rest one's eyes upon the Vacheron Constntin Manufactory-made 1126QPR automatic mechanical movement through a sapphire crystal.

One more zest of the Malte Quantieme Perpetuel Retrogradant is its black dial. The surface of the dial is provided with the special texture of the finishing due to which it rather absorbs than reflects the light. This way the timepiece's creators managed to remarkably improves its time legibility. The watch shows the time with help of two facetted sword hands also in 5N 18K pink gold, applied hour-markers and Roman numerals.

Besides the perpetual calendar function, the timepiece also offer the advantage of a retrograde date. When the end of the last day of a month comes, the hand featuring the date instantaneously jumps back to indicate the first day of the following month, starting all over again.

The case of the Vacheron Constantin watch measures 39 mm in diameter. it catches the eye due its perfect proportions and fan-shaped horns. as for the watch's crown, it displays the stamp of a stylized version of the Maltese Cross.

The owner of the Malte Quantieme Perpetuel Retrogradant will have to set the timepiece only once a century. Just imagine - the watch won't need setting until 2100.
