Raymond Weil Officially Unveils New Watch Collection

Raymond Weil has chosen the renowned city of Istanbul for holding the official, international launch of the brand's new Nabucco collection. The collection was unveiled during an exceptional evening on the island of Suada, the most trendy of the Turkish islands.



Turkey, that has long served as the bridge between Europe and Asia, is a historically and culturally rich country that has a market with reliable economic future for the Geneva watchmaker. The country is also rightfully considered to be a true symbol of continuous change and modernity. No wonder, Olivier Bernheim, Raymond Weil President and CEO, opted for the city of Istanbul for the official international presentation of the men's new collection of men's watches - Nabucco characterized by the most modern and robust design.



The presentation evening was attended bu over 300 guests, including VIPs and journalists who arrived from around the world and Turkey. The event was overwhelmed by a warm and festive atmosphere. The guests were offered cocktails and took a cruise on the Bosphorus. Everyone present had a unique opportunity to admire luxurious neo-Babylonian decor, oriental music, dancers, fire eaters, and magicians who welcomed them when they arrived on the island of Suada, reserved by the company and specially arranged for the festive occasion.



The evening was highlighted by the live concert by the internationally famous pop singer, Serdar Ortac. The show included a perfectly choreographed stage performance with dancers, unusual lighting effects and fireworks. Serdar Ortac represents Raymond Weil's Ambassador in Turkey. The singer excited the guests, who enjoyed a rare opportunity of witnessing one of the private concerts the singer agreed to perform because of his close cooperation with the company. During the concert, the star was presented with the Nabucco Carbon Fibre Chrono, the most distinctive model of the Raymond Weil collection.



The company was delighted to unveil the Nabucco concept, the expansion of which will take place in the nearest future worldwide. The Nabucco concept was developed by the marketing department managed by Olivier Bernheim's elder son, Elie. The new brand's concept is based upon innovative marketing tools and ideas. It is to include the following:


  • new campaign organized in four acts

  • a 5-minute launch film in the Hollywood style to be shown as a preview on the gala on giant screens

  • creation of a special 'nabucconian' world and atmosphere

  • a Nabucco island group construction on the virtual planet Second Life.


  • The Raymond Weil new Nabucco collection is sure to enjoy a great future. The watch collection was initially presented at Basel this year. Its success has already been recognized on an international level.
