Porsche Design Worldtimer P'6750

Eterna's new timekeeping creation - Porsche Design Worldtimer P'6750 - has been unveiled at the Baselworld-2007 Watch and Jewelery Show. The timepiece has been highly appreciated by watch connoisseurs for displaying simultaneously the time in two different time zones. The Worldtimer features an additional crown with an integrated button. This detail allows easy changing of the world time settings.

Eterna, a Porsche Design partner since 1998, has developed and produced a special movement module for the Porsche Design Worldtimer P'6750. It is based upon an ETA caliber. The module improved the movement, having offered an intelligent GMT function. In the center of the dial you will notice three hands displaying the time in the time zone where the watch's owner is at the moment. Behind the dial there are rotating discs necessary to make the movement also display a reference location and the current time in the corresponding time zone. These indications are featured via two dial apertures found at 3 and 9 o'clock. The second time zone in synchronized with the main watch time.

The crown at 2 o'clock is used for correcting the indication of the reference location, while the integrated button makes possible to transfer the time at the reference location to the hands. While the watch's owner adjusts the time zone function of the Porsche Design Worldtimer, it does not affect the run of the automatic movement. The reference cities are denoted by self-explanatory three-letter abbreviations. The timepiece's case back offers an engraving explaining the codes.

The crown positioned at 4 o'clock is necessary for adjusting the minutes and the hour hand in the center of the dial. The watch winding is fulfilled with help of the same crown. The crowns are embellished with Clous de Paris decoration. The decorative structure also allows a comfortable grip on the crown.

The Porsche Design Worldtimer P'6750 is characterized by rigorous design. The case of the timepiece catches the eye by its simple cylindrical forms. Measuring 45 mm in diameter, the case is made of titanium, the material often used by Porsche Design. The typography, styling and color scheme of the dial correspond to supreme functionality of the timepiece.

The watch has been produced with matte titanium case as well as titanium case with a black PVD coating. The Worldtimer goes on a black natural caouchouc strap offering great comfort of wearing. The strap's folding clasp is also in titanium.
